31 Days of Sharing God's Love Day 5: 8 Ways to Share God's Love with your husband

Hi, thanks for stopping by.  I know you must be new here, because I am new. Please check out
My Story to get to know me better or subscribe here. Welcome!

God calls us to share His Love with those around us. Many times when we think of this calling, we may think of those that don't have a relationship with the Lord.  We must remember the importance of sharing God's Love with the man God has called to be our other half.  As wives we must always look to encourage  and uplift our husbands.  The best way to do this is by sharing the Love of God.

Above all these put on love, which binds everything together in perfect harmony. Colossians 3:14

This is also even more important when your husband may not be serving the Lord.  Just as in my marriage, God has taught me the importance of our conduct. We must be the example of Christ and His Love  to our husbands that may not know Him.  Let your husband see the great Love of the Lord in you.

Wives, in the same way submit yourselves to your own husbands so that, if any of them do not believe the word, they may be won over without words by the behavior of their wives.  1 Peter 3:1-2

When we have the Love of Christ in our marriages it will become a strong foundation that cannot be broken.

8 Ways to Share God's Love with your Husband

1.Give him a smile-In the morning when you wake up or even when he comes home from work.  Show your hubby that you are happy to see him.  Remember to make greeting him a priority now matter how busy you are at the moment.

2. Use kind words-This one is pretty self explanatory. Our goal is to encourage and uplift with our words at all times.

When she speaks she always has something worthwhile to say,
and she always says it kindly. Proverbs 31:26

3. Encourage him with God's Word-Many times our husbands may feel the pressures
of the world on his shoulders. We can encourage him by reminding him what the Word says.

My son, be attentive to my words; incline your ear to my sayings. Let
them not escape from your sight; keep them within your heart.
For they are life to those who find them, and healing to all their flesh.
Proverbs 4:20-22

4. Do the things that he likes to do-Be self-sacrificing.  Sit down and watch that
football game with him even if you don't have a clue what's going on.
Ask questions and show interest, of course with the least amount of distraction
as possible.  Putting his interests first shows your love.

Submitting to one another out of reverence for Christ.  Ephesians 5:21

5. Support him with positivity-This can apply to the big decisions or on the
small occasions. Our husbands have to make many decisions as head of the household.
Often times we may not always agree with his choices, but as wives we must respect his
decision.  Make sure  we support our husbands in a way that he is unknown to our
true feelings. Then pray over that situation allowing God to work in our hearts.  Also don't
forget about the small times.  For example laugh at his jokes, even if we may feel it is the
wrong place or time. It's encouraging.

6. Love on him for no reason-It doesn't have to be his birthday to do something special.
Out of the blue make his favorite dinner, or get that book that you know he's been wanting
to read.  Let him know that you think he's special in whatever way that matters most to him.

7. Pray with him-We know that prayer is a powerful tool given to us by God.  God
answers our prayers.  It is SO vital to our marriages.  Not only should we pray for
our husbands in our own prayer time, but it is important to pray with him.  We can
express the Love of God to our husbands, through our prayers.  Prayer is also a way to uplift
your husband, and keep him accountable in his walk with the Lord.

Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that
you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective.  James 5:16

8. Receive God's Love in our lives-You cannot give what you have not received.
As wives we have the responsibility to build up our relationships with the Lord.  The
more we know of God's Love and believe it in our hearts, the more we can share and give
to our husbands.
