Welcome my name is Sherri. I am a follower of Jesus. I have been blessed to be the wife to my best friend Markiel. I am a mother to my tween son Amari and my preschool daughter Sanai. By God's grace I have found true joy in serving my family in our home. Even amongst all the everyday craziness I know this where God has called me to be. I learn something new everyday. I also recently became a part time bible teacher at my daughter's preschool. So I have the best of both worlds.

EShakti Review:Vintage Lace Dress

So finally this is the review I have been waiting on.
I have enjoyed seeing all the other bloggers and
their reviews of the eShakti dresses.

I can honestly say there wasn't one dress
that I saw that I didn't like.

All the dresses looked beautiful and fit like a glove.

I was thrilled when I was contacted by the company
to pick out a dress and do a review of my own.

The one thing that I appreciated was the great
customer service of the company.

Originally when I checked out the dresses
on the website I had a hard time finding
a dress that was in stock and available to order.

This salmon colored lace vintage style dress was my
favorite, when I saw it I had to have it.

All I had to do was contact the company
and they made a special order of the dress just for me.

Once I received the dress I was happy with my order.

I love how this dress has a vintage look and the
lace makes it very feminine.

The salmon color makes it perfect for the fall.

I would definitely find myself wearing this for a fall wedding.

My favorite part of this dress are definitely the pockets.

I don't wear it much, but I thought this antique,
thrifted bracelet went nicely with this outfit.

Outfit Details:
Dress: c/o EShakti

*I received the following product mentioned above for free in hopes that I would review and mention it on my blog. My goal is to always honestly recommend products or services that I personally use and feel would benefit my readers

What Wives Wear LinkUp:Week 20

Welcome to the

Week 20

Faux Leather Leggings
While I was going through my closet looking for
something to wear for work, out fell these leggings.

Just for the record I didn't wear these leggings for work.

Not really preschool appropriate, especially for the bible teacher.

For summer I packed away all my leggings, but
I always love to wear them in the fall with boots & sweaters.

This pair of leggings I consider my fancy leggings.
With the faux leather panels on the front
I can easily dress them up or down.

Shirt:Charming Charlie, Vest:Thrifted, Leggings:H&M, Shoes:Kohl's,
Bag:Disney, Earrings:Payless, Sunnies:Old Navy

I loved how this outfit went so nicely with my new work bag.

The bag is one of my souvenirs my hubby bought me from Disney.

It is perfect for carrying all types of stuff.
It is quickly becoming my everything bag.

These leggings are perfect because they
only have the faux leather in the front, so you still
have that extra stretch in the back,
where we sometimes may need it.

These flats have started to become one of my favorites.

When I first bought them last spring
I don't know why I didn't wear them as much.

Now they seem to go with everything and the
embellishment on the front make them extra fancy.
Just the way I like it!

Plus the preschool girls I teach at school like them,
so what more can I ask for?

This week's Top Two feature Jill & Robyn.

Jill is sharing a casual look that includes
a blue v-neck top and teal shorts.

She adds her white converses to keep it
cute & simple for a busy mom.

Robyn is wearing a bold tribal print dress.

This look is fun with a skater style dress.

The not so basic dress is accessorized with
mauve heels, jewelry, and a blue bag.

Tribal Scarf Into A Vest:Tutorial

Shirt:Merona, Jeans:Old Navy, Scarf/Vest:Marshall's, Shoes:Target,
Sunnies:Old Navy, Earrings:Payless, Bracelet:DIY by daughter

I love wearing scarves and over the years
through gifts and thrifting I have built up my collection.

I haven't worn any of my scarves through the summer.

Since fall is right around the corner and the mornings and nights are getting cooler,
I think it's about that time to break them out.

Tying a scarf into a vest is super simple and takes no time at all.

Here is a fun way to wear your scarf and change up the look.

Step 1:
You must use a long rectangular scarf. It's easier to tie.

Step 2:
Bring the top two ends together to fold the scarf in half.

Step 3:
Now take the top two ends and tie a knot.

Step 4:
Open up the scarf to find the two arm holes.

This four step process is pretty simple.

If you need a video tutorial there are many
to pick from on You Tube.
Just search "making a scarf into a vest."

This week we were excited to have some new ladies join us.

Our first favorite look is by Ema.
Ema is sharing a beautiful printed top and midi skirt.

The pastel colors of the outfit match perfectly with the sunset.

Riva is sharing a leopard print jumpsuit.

The edgy jumpsuit has a feminine touch with
a thin black sash on the waist.

The best part is this is a diy outfit.

What Wives Wear Link Up: Week 18

Welcome to the
What Wives Wear Link Up!

Disney Outfits:To Be Continued...

I'm back ladies! It feels good to be back.
Even if that means back to school & back to work.

Right now I'm in go mode!
Tomorrow I will start my first day as the
bible teacher at my daughter's preschool.

I'm excited and blessed for this opportunity.

Please if you could take some time to pray
for me as I teach, and the hearts of the children.

This time last week my family and I were in Disney.
We also brought one of our younger cousins
along so he could keep my son company.
We all had a great time. It was so much fun!

Honestly I don't know how anyone couldn't love Disney.

Last weeks post I gave you a sneak peek of one of my
planned outfits for Disney.

I actually ended up wearing the outfit but
with a different pair of shorts.

The Mickey & gang tank made a second appearance
on the last day when we ran over to Magic Kingdom
for Tinkerbell's and Tiana's autographs
right before we got on our plane home.

So I definitely got good use out of it.

Here are some other outfits I wore that week
as we hopped from park to park.

Dress:Old Navy, Belt:Thrifted, Shoes:Target
Sunnies:Target, Earrings:Thrifted, Bag:Target

This is me & hubby in Epcot after the princess
breakfast outside the Akershus restaurant.

This is one of my favorite summer dresses.
I love the green color, plus it's so easy & comfortable.

Shirt:Gifted, Shorts:Thrifted, Shoes:Target, Earrings:Thrifted, Sunnies:Target, Yellow Magic Band

As you can see we did a lot of character dining that week.
Here we all are with Daisy at the Tusker House restaurant.

This is the first time I am wearing the orange shorts.
They were thrifted just for the trip.

I thought they would go perfectly with my white lace tank.

Bathing suit:Walmart, Cover up:Disney, Earrings:Thrifted

Let me take a selfie! What's better than a
bathroom mirror selfie, especially now that I'm
starting to learn how to actually do it.

This was my water park look.
I forgot to bring a cover up, so I was happy
when my hubby bought me this cute Minnie one.
Which by the way matched perfectly with my bathing suit.

Also I couldn't forget my Magic Band
this was my accessory of choice all week.

Another one of my favorite accessories
was this cute little cross body bag.

It was perfect for carrying around just
the necessities:license, credit card, lipstick, and keys.

Before my trip I went to Target looking for the
perfect cross body bag.

I went through many of them, but none where
what I was looking for.

Then when I went to the girl's department
I found this one, and it was just right.

The bonus was it was on clearance,
so it ended up being only seven dollars. Score!

This week we have two stylish ladies for our Top Two.

Cynthia is showing us how she transition this classic
white dress from summer to fall.

She looks great by adding a green cargo vest and silver belt.
The blue booties give it the perfect pop of color.

J is sharing a beautiful tangerine maxi dress.
The dress has a bit of interest with the
lace detailing on top.

The sandals and bag make it the perfect end of summer look.
